Defending Your Faith
Can you defend the faith? What do you believe? Do you think you should defend your beliefs? In Philippians 1:3-7 the apostle Paul was in prison for the sake of preaching the Gospel. He wrote, “…inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace.” Paul was not concerned about his imprisonment because he knew there was a greater cause, the salvation of souls! In verses 8-19 he continues to exhort the believers
The Five Loaves and Two Fish
Over in John 6 we read what I claim as my favorite recorded miracle in the entire Bible -- the miracle of the 5 loaves and two fishes. In John 6:1-14, the BIble says, "After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. In 1 Corinthians 13:34 and 35, the Bible says, “Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.” This passage is a part of Paul’s first letter to the church at
What Must I do to be Saved?
The greatest gift ever given to mankind is the gift of God that makes our salvation possible. Paul emphasizes this fact when he writes to the Romans and assures them, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23) To receive this gift, then, we must go through Jesus. We must accept Him by fully submitting our lives to His way. This change is described as conversion in the scriptures. The book of Acts makes this
